If you are a Friday customer, you may not have gotten the amount of milk you desired. For that, we apologize. Something happened in the dairy barn that hasn't happened in decades, if ever. As we milk the cows, the milk is collected in a stainless steel collector. When the milk rises to a certain point, the pump kicks on and sends the milk through the wall into an adjoining room, and directly into the cooling tank. At least that is what's supposed to happen. On Friday morning a malfunction in the pumping system had the pump sending the milk down the drain. (insert sad face emoji) . Over three-quarters of the cows had been milked when the problem was discovered, so there wasn't enough milk to go around on Friday, again, so sorry. But hey, there's no point in crying over spilled milk right? (we did kinda want to cry.) Thankfully the problem has been fixed, and we are planning to get all of the milk to the cooling tank this week. Order some and enjoy.
