Reap What You Sow

It's time to bring in the harvest. You probably know that we raise our own non GMO crops to make feed for our animals. This is the time of year that we reap the harvest of what was planted back in the spring. Farming is always a gamble, and one thing that's for sure is that every year is different. I've had really good yield on our corn crop for the last few years, but this year looks to be a little different.  The corn didn't perform as well in the hot and dry weather that we experienced this year. Nonetheless, we will get out there and harvest. Hoping for the best, but thankful for the opportunity to farm regardless of the outcome.
