Not Business as Usual

Unfortunately, we will not be able to make home deliveries for a little while. There is a series of events that led to this decision and it's a decision that we don't take lightly. We go to extreme efforts to provide a consistent service, but sometimes things get a little out of control and have to be brought back in order. I would like to explain our situation, so here goes:

Basically, we are short on labor and delivery vans. So far this year, two of our home delivery vans have been wrecked, badly. Lately, we have been working with the bare minimum equipment to get the job done with no backup available. A replacement would mean an $80,000 purchase, and I like to make those kinds of purchase decisions slowly and deliberately.

Additionally, we have lost several employees including the warehouse manager, home delivery driver, and our main farm-hand. I find myself needing to do most of the farm chores, which means I can't jump in and drive when needed. Hiring decisions also need to be taken with a lot of deliberate thought, so it'll be a minute before we will be back at full strength.

Ultimately, we are just dealing with a lot of upheaval at the moment. I feel like I need to simplify the process so I can re-organize. Our Pop-up Pick-ups are simpler to deliver and simpler to pack, not to mention we have a really good employee (Josh) that operates those locations consistently. So, we will be running the pop-ups, but not home delivery for a while. Everyone who was getting home delivery should have a pop-up fairly close by. We hope you will utilize this option while we reset and get the right people on board.
