As the sun sets on another year of turkey production, I would like to give thanks. We are forever grateful that you trust us to be your farmer. We appreciate the opportunity to provide the centerpiece of your Thanksgiving meal, arguably the year's most important meal. We are equally appreciative of the trust you put in us to provide the nourishment your family deserves on a weekly basis. It is an honor that we cherish. The community that has grown up organically (pun intended) around what we do is inspiring. That community includes our farm, other small farms that we cooperate with, and you, the dedicated consumer that supports us. I can honestly say that without this community that has developed over the last 15 years, Carlton Farms would no longer exist. Therefore, as a group, collectively, you all have saved at least one family farm. It really does matter.
One day I'll tell the story of the struggles we were up against before we started selling directly. It's long, sad, emotional, and honestly a little hard for me to write. Thankfully "we" met "you" and the story took a turn toward a happier place. so for now let me say.... Thank You.
