We had to really tuck the baby turkeys in tight over the weekend. They like their temperature to be in the 90-95 degree range during their first week or so in the brooder. Normally that's no problem. However, when the low is projected to be 18, it becomes more of a problem. We covered the brooder doors with cardboard (normally wire for high ventilation) and then draped blankets over the front. Thankfully they did well. We are hoping our friends who were protecting strawberries and blueberries got through the cold snap as well.
