I have driven deliveries a few times in the last few weeks. I got similar questions often, from customers that I hadn't seen in years. "How are the kids?" "How old are they now?" I realized it's been a while since I've been on the road regularly, so I haven't been able to keep everybody updated. This is the section of the email that I call "On The Farm". I usually talk about what's going on with animals, or what crop we are planting. There is usually plenty of interesting stuff to fill these lines. In reality, there is a lot more that goes on at the farm than just raising crops and animals. Our most important crop is this herd of kids we are raising. My three, (L-R) Wren (5), Atticus (9), and Jersey (12 next week) are pictured here when we were able to slow down the farm for a while and have a large Thanksgiving celebration that included not just Thursday, but Wednesday and Friday also. They were able to spend this time with the rest of the herd, my brother's children, Sara (18) and Ty(15), and my sister's children Bax (7) and Zoe(3). They are all doing great, and we are so blessed. They spend their time running around the farm, playing in the creek, taking care of whatever animal they have recently claimed, and doing their share of chores. Very few things influenced my life more than growing up on a farm. Being able to provide a similar, modern version of that childhood to my own family is quite possibly my greatest achievement. #thankful
