Freedom to Farm

A few years ago, Atticus and I went to D.C. for his 10-year-old adventure. During that trip, we were able to visit Arlington National Cemetery. In that place, the presence of their sacrifice is overwhelming. It's a feeling that I hope we never forget. We are working on the farm today because we have the freedom to do that and because some tasks are just mandatory. After the mandatory tasks are complete, we will spend some time with family and give reverent thanks to those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are using our freedom to chase our farming dreams. Whatever you are using your freedom for, pause for a moment and give a nod of appreciation to the legions of folks who decided your freedom was valuable enough to die for.
