Farmer goes to D.C.
I spent two days last week traveling to Washington D.C. with the Georgia Farm Bureau. We were speaking to lawmakers about agricultural issues and giving them real-world examples of what is happening on farms across our state. I had the honor of sitting down with 11th district representative Barry Loudermilk. This was a special privilege for me, since Congressman Loudermilk and his family have been customers of our farm going back several years. He has even proposed legislation to legalize the sale of raw milk. Mr. Loudermilk is not seeking re-election this year and will retire at the end of his term. I hope the people of the 11th district elect a good candidate, because you are losing a great one.
