Treats Incoming
The first blackberries are starting to ripen, and I ate our first blueberries yesterday. One good thing about all this unusually abundant rain is that the early fruits should be large and delicious. There should be enough blueberries to post online in the next week or so. As for the blackberries, we love the wild blackberries that are absolutely brutal to pick with all of those sticky thorns. The amount of blood we shed during the harvest makes them impossible to price. We don't usually sell those, but we make a jelly with them that is out of this world. Maybe Julie will eventually add Blackberry Jelly to her product offering through her newly approved Cottage License. That's right...she got the final approval about a week ago. She aims to have some Sourdough bagels and Sourdough Bread in the upcoming weeks. Y'all have a fantastic week and get ready to enjoy the flavors of the season.
