It's Nice to be Wanted

If I ever need to feel wanted... I can go hang out in the turkey pasture. These extra curious creatures will hang out right by my side all day. I must say, I do enjoy being out there among all their sounds and personalities. Over the years we have developed a 3 phase process for growing our Thanksgiving turkeys. Phase one is the brooder. In the brooder, they are extremely well protected and kept nice and warm. Phase two is when they are first introduced to pasture. In this phase, the turkeys are raised in our mobile floorless houses. We move them each day to fresh grass while the walls of the house keep them protected from predators. This is when they learn to eat grass and bugs even though they are still young enough to need the safety that the house provides. Phase three is the fun phase. This is the phase when the turkeys are big enough to be able to go into the completely free-range pasture. In this pasture, they have a mobile shelter to roost on at night, mobile outdoor feeders, and a mobile water system. The mobility of this equipment allows us to move the infrastructure around the pasture a few times during the growout. The turkeys have free run of several acres, and if you visit they will follow you across every inch. This batch of birds has been very healthy and is growing out beautifully. We have our fingers crossed for a successful phase 3. Right now you can reserve a turkey for your Thanksgiving table by adding the $30 reservation to your cart with your next order. Hopefully, we will have enough, but we often run out, so reserve yours today and check that item off the list.
