Mission Trip Funded by Jerseys Jams

I recently realized that I hadn't yet provided a follow-up to the mission trip that Jersey was able to participate in this summer. It was a great success. First and foremost the whole group experienced safe travels. Other than an earache for a few days, Jersey was healthy the entire trip. She was able to assist churches in the area and help lead activities for the children. Throughout their various activities, 27 individual souls proclaimed salvation through Jesus. Many of the people they worked with were native to the island of Eleuthera, and many were Haitian refugees who landed on this island to escape the situation in Haiti. Either way, Jersey's group was able to show them the love of God and present the gospel. It wasn't just the locals that were changed by this trip. Jersey, as well as all the other students and adults left with a better perspective and acknowledgment of the blessed lives that they are able to lead. It was a powerful trip for all involved. Jersey is already talking about wanting to do an internship there in the future. This trip was made possible because of everyone that supported Jerseys Strawberry Jam fundraiser earlier this summer. Thanks to each of you for your purchase and support. I think I may have mentioned this earlier, but due to your generosity, we were able to pay for Jerseys trip and donate $1,000 toward the trip for other students that were having a harder time raising money.
