Time to Get Lost!

It's fall, and that means several things. It means crisp morning air, colorful leaves, and college football. It is also the time of year to take a trip to your favorite farm to pick out a pumpkin, take a hayride, and get lost in the corn maze. We have all those activities and more. Our hayrides go through the pasture with some of our Jersey dairy cows. There are several different types of animals in the animal barn, including calves, goats, pigs, chickens, sheep, and a donkey. You'll find lots of games in the play area, pumpkins galore, and much more.

The Corn Maze this year is in honor of a family friend here in Rockmart. Ty Floyd pitched for our local high school (Rockmart High) a few years ago. He was recruited by and decided to attend his dream school (LSU). While at LSU Ty had the opportunity to pitch in and win the College World Series. During that World Series, he set the strikeout record by recording 17 strikeouts in one World Series game. Earlier this summer Ty was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds. Ty's family owns the farm supply store here in town and the tractor dealership. They have all been great friends of ours for as long as any of us can remember. In addition to being a fantastic baseball player, Ty is an equally impressive human being. It was our privilege to honor Ty and his outstanding baseball achievements by including his likeness in this year's corn maze.
