Last week I wrote about an assortment of water issues we were facing. We had a malfunctioning well, issues watering chickens, and no rain.
Well, in the last week we have repaired the well, designed a nice watering system for the chickens, and had a couple inches of rain. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together. The Broiler pens are now sporting a 30 gallon water tank and drinker lines mounted underneath the crossmembers (see photo). Chickens are never more than a few feet from water, and the 30 gallons is enough to get them by for a couple of days.
